In 2000, we celebrated the firm's 50th anniversary. We created five initiatives:

1. We documented the firm's history in "A look back … the first 50 years".

2. We sponsored the G. Harvey Agnew Address at the National Leadership Conference in Ottawa (June, 2000). The address honours Dr. Agnew's tremendous contributions to the health care industry.

3. We hosted two celebrations: one, in Ottawa during the National Leadership Conference; and, the second, at our annual cocktail party in Toronto, during the Ontario Hospital Association Convention.

4. We recognized our long standing clients: Without our valued clients, including several that have been clients for 30 years and more, Agnew Peckham would not be where it is today.

5. We initiated the sequel to Dr. Agnew's book "Canadian Hospitals, 1920 to 1970 A Dramatic Half Century." Ron McQueen has been urging us for years to address the developments and issues in health care over the period which followed, from 1970 to 2000. Murray McKenzie, past Chairman of the Ontario Hospital Association and former CEO of North York General Hospital, assisted Dr. Agnew in writing the original book and has been instrumental in assisting us to organize the process for the sequel. We have completed the research and are in the process of weaving the information into a book.
